”Design is the very meeting point of what could appear as opposites. Where technology meets sensitivity, the analytical meets the creative, where precision meets intuition.”

”I design möts det som kan uppfattas som motsatser; teknik & känsla, det analytiska & det kreativa, precision möter intuition”

HUMANEYES

EGENSINNLIG

Human

I have never liked labels, or being limited by a title.

Form or function, engineer or designer, artist or entrepreneur.

I do not see contradictions.

What I see is the full spectrum that exists in-between.

Rather than expecting everyone to be cast in the same mould,

I see the humanistic aspect of diversity.

In my work, I put people first.

Eyes

Open your eyes.

Design is about seeing the subtle things.

In shapes, colours and textures.

In how things work.

Design is about identifying values, needs and ambitions.

Finding the essence.

Creating a unique experience.

Products that embody a story.

I find it difficult to define my work by a single word.

So I invented a word of my own.

What do I do?

I humaneyes things.

Egen i sinnet

Med ett ord som egentligen inte finns;

Egensinnlig.

Egen i tanken

Several of our products and partnerships have received awards and honors. Such as the casted kitchen knives for Portuguese brand Ivo who won the prize in the Core Design Award in 2001. We have received the honorable privilege in 2007, by the Ministry of Culture / Swedish Design Society, to be part of the "Designstafetten" including a several months long window display at Drottninggatan in central Stockholm. The Lighting concept Liverti for Fagerhult got the 2008 first prize in Swecast's Design competition at Elmia. The very first award we received was in 1995 as the Honorable Mention in the American ID Design Review for our work with designing the project “Drum Revolution”. Some more current awards and nominations are the nominations for the "Design company of the year 2013", two nominations (Virtu knives and No. 216 Sideboard) at the "German Design Award 2013", and not at least as the winner of the Red Dot Design Award 2013 for our work with "Art" for Vedum. In early 2014 we were honoured as a double winner of Elle Decoration Swedish Design Award. And counting.

Thank you !
